INT. GARAGE BAND GARAGE

Danielle, Deb, Jennifer and the two other band members are setting up equipment in the garage. Danielle sets up the mic and mic stand. Deb is working on setting up the keyboard. Danielle looks over at Jennifer who is plugging in wires to the amp. Jennifer gives her a thumbs up.

DANIELLE

Mic check, testing one, two, three.

Jennifer looks over at Deb and nods. Deb begins to play the keyboard. Then the girl on guitar gets the nod from Jennifer. She tests the guitar feed. The guitar player stops and the bass starts. Jennifer walks over to the drums and begins to test her feed.

EXT. GARAGE BAND HOUSE - DAY

Deb pulls into the driveway. Deb and Danielle exit the car and walk over to the entrance of the house. The door opens and Deb’s friend Jennifer walks out. She looks sad.

JENNIFER

I got some bad news.

DEB

What’s wrong?

JENNIFER

I have to quit the band.

DEB

What? Why?

JENNIFER

My mom thinks it’s a waste of my time.

Deb looks very upset.

DEB

Can we still practice here?

JENNIFER

No.

DEB

Great. We were just starting to sound good.

JENNIFER

I’m sorry.

DEB

That’s ok. Can we get our stuff?

JENNIFER

Yeah.

They all walk in to the house.
